YSMU specialists participated in the 12th International Conference on Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases

Specialists of the Department of Medical Genetics of Yerevan State Medical University (Davit Babikyan, Natella Kostandyan, Natalia Minasyan), including ARICE project experts, participated in the 12th International Conference on Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases (Undiagnosed Diseases Network International - UNDI 2023) in Tbilisi, Georgia, hosted by the Georgian Foundation for Genetic and Rare Diseases (GeRaD) together with the Tbilisi State Medical University.

Alain Hovnanian, a foreign professor of the Center for Medical Genetics and Primary Health Care, famous professor from Necker Hospital in Paris, gave a speech at this important medical event held on October 22-23.

About 250 doctors from different countries of the world attended the conference, including: USA, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, Sweden, France, Norway, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Germany, Italy, Thailand, Netherlands.

The purpose of the conference was to continue to share data as a consortium of international undiagnosed diseases programs (UDPs), to advance UDPs to developing nations, to promote the diagnosis of rare diseases and the discovery of new diseases, and to foster the elucidation of new mechanisms and pathways.
